Job summary

Banner Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist to join the night shift team at Banner Desert Medical Center in Mesa, AZ. The role involves preparing for procedures, scrubbing in and assisting with multiple surgical specialties, and supporting sterile processing.

You will work under pressure, maintain aseptic technique, and participate in training of staff and students. This is a full‑time, night shift position with opportunities for professional growth within Banner's pediatric and trauma

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Certified surgical technologist or 2–3 years' surgical tech experience.
• Must be registered with State Regulatory Agency where applicable.
• Ability to scrub in at least two surgical specialties.
• Strong dexterity and ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Prepares for surgical procedures with correct instruments.
• Anticipates surgeon needs and passes instruments.
• Maintains aseptic technique and disposes of sharps.
• Assists with OR turnover and stocking.
• Participates in training of staff and students.
