Responsibilities

• Prepares for procedures by pulling instruments and ensuring equipment works.
• Anticipates surgeon needs and passes instruments during surgery.
• Maintains aseptic technique and disposes of sharps and waste properly.
• Verifies surgeon preference cards and pick lists are accurate.
• Assists with OR turnover and stocking of supplies.
• Leads training/orientation of staff and students as assigned.
• Follows safety procedures and participates in emergency call rotation.
