Atlas Healthcare Partners is seeking a Surgical Technician for Banner Surgery Center – Peoria to support surgical teams in a fast-paced environment in the Phoenix metro area. You will prepare and pass sterile instruments, maintain aseptic technique, and help with room turnover.

This role requires a high school diploma or GED, BLS, manual dexterity, and ability to stay calm under pressure; state certification requirements for surgical technologists may apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• BLS certification required and must be registered with State Regulatory Agency where applicable.
• Manual dexterity and ability to remain professional in stressful emergent situations.
• Ability to respond quickly to surgeon and patient needs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for procedures; pull instruments and supplies; ensure instruments are in good working order.
• Anticipate surgeon needs; pass instruments and operate equipment during surgery.
• Demonstrate aseptic technique and universal precautions; dispose of sharps and trash; count instruments.
• Maintain accurate surgeon preference cards and pick lists.
• Assist with OR turnover; stock and replenish supplies; clean operating rooms.
• Provide business support to department as needed.
