Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent and Graduate from an accepted course in Surgical Technology.
• Preferred: One year of experience in a similar medical setting; basic analytical skills.
• BLS certification (American Heart Association) required; Surgical Technology certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs direct patient care duties.
• Organizes activities and supplies based on surgery schedule and daily needs of the department.
• Care for and provide services to patients in relation to their age and development with supervision.
• Communicates patient care needs to patients, families, and co-workers.
• Maintains required clinical knowledge, skills, training and credentials.
• Adapts to rapid changes in department caused by census, acuity and resources.
