Job summary

Aiken Regional Medical Centers is seeking an OR Surgical Tech to scrub surgical cases and support providers with supplies and equipment in the operating room. The role emphasizes aseptic technique, sterile field maintenance, and adherence to safety protocols to ensure efficient operative care.

Ideal candidates will have an OR Technician course completion with hospital experience and current CPR/NRP certifications.

Qualifications

• Education: Satisfactory completion of OR Technician course or on the job training for at least one year.
• Experience: One year hospital experience preferred.
• Certification/License: ORT certification number required as of January 2008; CPR certification & NRP certification

Responsibilities

• Actively participates in Universal Protocol and 'Time-Out'.
• Adheres to principles of asepsis and maintains a sterile field.
• Provides appropriate and properly functioning equipment and supplies.
• Prepares and cuts suture material and handles instruments as directed.
