Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health in Round Rock, TX is seeking a Surgical Support Technician for a full-time Day shift (Mon-Fri 7:30 am–4:00 pm; orientation 2–4 weeks 6:30 am–3:00 pm). The role supports operating rooms by preparing spaces before surgeries, handling turnover after procedures, and ensuring supplies for smooth operations.

You will transport patients and materials, maintain inventory, audit case carts, and assist clinicians with sterile supplies.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Less than 1 year of experience expected.
• BLS certification required or obtained within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepare OR spaces before surgeries and manage turnover after procedures.
• Ensure necessary supplies are available for each case.
• Transport patients, lab samples, and supplies as needed.
• Manage inventory and restock supplies across areas.
• Audit case carts and restock per physician preferences.
• Open sterile supplies under clinician supervision; assist with instrument prep and flash sterilization.
• Respond to emergencies and complete on-call duties as required.
