Job summary

St. Mark's Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah, is seeking an OR Surgery Manager RN to lead our Surgical Services team. You will assist the Director with planning, administering, and evaluating operating room operations and promote patient- and family-centered care.

Qualifications

• Current Utah nursing license in good standing.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• BLS/BCLS certification required or within 30 days of hire.
• CNOR required or obtained within twelve months of hire.
• Two years clinical experience in the operating room.
• Previous leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Model and sustain patient- and family-centered care while guiding staff.
• Share accountability for nursing practice standards within the unit.
• Coordinate staffing, hiring, evaluating, guiding, and scheduling with the Director.
• Maintain composure and professionalism under pressure.
• Develop a shared department vision aligned with the hospital.
• Identify staff strengths/weaknesses and pursue training and development.
• Coordinate functions with staff, physicians and other departments to improve throughput.
