Surgical Solutions in New York, NY seeks an on-site OR Support Specialist to ensure exceptional service to surgeons and operating room staff. You will manage pre-, intra-, and post-operative equipment, maintain instrument sterility, and coordinate with OR personnel to meet patient care needs.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years of face-to-face customer service experience, a high school diploma, and are willing to obtain CRCST if not already certified.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2–5 years of face-to-face customer service experience required.
• COVID-19 vaccination is required.
• CRCST preferred and must be obtained within 120 days of hire (some accounts may require this upon hire).

Responsibilities

• Set a high standard of performance for staff and peers in the OR support role.
• Understand surgical procedures and anticipate staff/surgeon needs for exceptional service.
• Pre-Operative Setup: verify equipment and arrange monitors per surgeon preferences.
• Intra-Operative Support: ensure proper connections and assist staff as needed.
• Post-Operative Turnover: inventory instruments for cleaning and sterilization.
• Maintain decontamination, inspection, and sterilization of instruments; manage laparoscopic gear.
• Keep surgeon preference cards current and accurate.
• Provide on-call and rotational coverage including weekdays, weekends, holidays.
