Job summary

Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital is seeking a Sterile Processing professional to serve as a liaison between SPD and the Operating Room. The role focuses on anticipating needs, bridging gaps, and supporting surgeon satisfaction and patient safety.

Ideal candidates have a relevant SPD/OR background, CST/CPD certification, and strong problem-solving abilities to ensure efficient case turnover and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of an accredited sterile processing or surgical technology course.
• In lieu of completion of the course, 5 years' working experience within SPD or the OR required.

Responsibilities

• Bridge between Sterile Processing and the Operating Room to anticipate needs and improve surgeon satisfaction.
• Enhance case completion and interdepartmental communication while ensuring patient quality care and safety.
