Job summary

Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital is seeking a Sterile Processing professional to strengthen the link between SPD and the Operating Room. You will anticipate needs, bridge gaps to ensure surgeon satisfaction, successful case completion, and clear interdepartmental communication.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, sterile processing training, and 3+ years in peri-operative settings; CSPDT certification within one year is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years experience in Peri-Operative environment (SPD/OR).
• 3 years case cart knowledge and experience.
• Experience with Instrument Management Tracking systems (SPM preferred).
• In lieu of degree additional 5 years of SPD/OR experience.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate a close working relationship between Sterile Processing and the Operating Room.
• Anticipate needs and bridge gaps to ensure surgeon satisfaction and case completion.

Education

GED / High School Diploma

Sterile Processing or Surgical Technology course
