Job summary

Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital is seeking an experienced Sterile Processing/OR liaison to join our perioperative team. You will help ensure seamless instrument handling, case progression, and safe patient care.

You will collaborate with Sterile Processing and the Operating Room, applying problem-solving and critical thinking to anticipate needs and support surgeons and staff.

Required is a CSPDT or equivalent certification within one year, HS diploma or GED, and SPD/OR experience.

Qualifications

• GED or high school diploma required.
• Graduate of an accredited sterile processing or surgical technology course; hands-on instruction preferred.
• In lieu of course, 5 years working experience within SPD or the OR required.

Responsibilities

• Bridge Sterile Processing and Operating Room to support surgeon satisfaction and case completion.
• Enhance interdepartmental communication and patient safety.
• Apply problem-solving and critical thinking to operational needs within perioperative services.
