Allegheny Health Network is seeking a Cross Functional Associate to support operating rooms and sterile processing. You will assist with instrument processing, room turnover, supply management, and patient transfers while following safety and HIPAA guidelines.

The role emphasizes teamwork, attention to detail, and adaptability to varying tasks, with responsibilities spanning equipment movement, blood product handling, and emergency response support.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; related experience optional.
• CPR certification within 60 days of hire.
• Act 34, Act 33, Act 73 and FBI fingerprinting background clearances.
• HIPAA and privacy training and adherence to security policies.

Responsibilities

• Assist with OR and SPD tasks, room turnover, and cleaning per protocols.
• Anticipate equipment needs and transport to and from the OR.
• Restock supplies and ensure proper room setup for cases.
• Assist with patient positioning, transfers, and post-mortem care as needed.
• Follow PPE and safety guidelines; transport specimens to the lab.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
