Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a Cross Functional Associate to support operating rooms and sterile processing. The role involves instrument processing, room turnover, supply management, and compliance with safety and regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities include assisting with patient transport, positioning, and coordination with medical staff, while maintaining cleanliness and accuracy in all tasks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or related experience.
• Proficiency with Internet email software and McKesson PHS.

Responsibilities

• Maintains cleanliness and sanitation in the OR and SPD, assists with room turnover and waste disposal.
• Completes tasks in SPD under direct supervision.
• Anticipates equipment needs and transports equipment to and from the OR.
• Maintains supply levels, restocks areas, and assists with patient emergencies.
• Assists with patient positioning and safe transport to the OR; supports transfers and post-mortem care.
• Follows safety protocols and uses PPE.
• Transports specimens to the lab and follows ID procedures.
• Obtains and returns blood products from Blood Bank per procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.
