Job summary

Qualifications

• EDUCATION: 2 years college or specialty school in surgical assisting.
• YEARS OF EXPERIENCE: Preferred 4 years general experience with 2 years in any specialty area.

Responsibilities

• Assist in identifying anatomy within the operative field.
• Perform tasks to permit the surgeon to operate efficiently and safely.
• Maintain positive relations with patients and staff.
• Demonstrate competency and apply technical skills to assigned cases.
• Work under direct supervision of the surgeon and be accountable to the Surgical Assistants manager.
• Provide expert assistance on major surgical cases under direct supervision.
