Job summary

Qualifications

• Education: 2 years college or specialty school in surgical assisting.
• Experience: Preferred 4 years general experience with 2 years in any specialty area.
• Certifications: NSAA, CFA in the AST, AA-C in the AAPA, or CRNFA in the ONA or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeon during procedures to optimize exposure and safety.
• Position patient and ensure comfort and visualization of operative site.
• Identify anatomy, assist with hemostasis and closure techniques.
• Prepare wound dressings, manage drainage, and secure dressings.
• Communicate plans and changes to the surgeon and team.
• Stay informed about new technologies in surgical specialties.
