Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital in Charlottesville, VA is seeking a Manager, Surgical Services for the Main OR. Lead operational excellence across a high-volume orthopedic, neuro and complex GYN service line with 8 OR suites.

The role requires a BSN, RN license, and 3 years of acute care RN and OR scrub/circulator experience. MSN preferred; CNOR preferred. Sentara offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities to lead a high-performing perioperative team.

Qualifications

• BSN required.
• RN license required.
• 3 years of acute care RN experience required.
• 3 years of scrub and circulator experience in an OR required.
• PeriOp 101 program preferred.
• CNOR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate service line instruments and equipment purchase needs.
• Provide service line education.
• Participate in staff interviews.
• Review used pick tickets for changes and coordinate with CC tech or Charge Auditor.
• Collaborate with vendors and materials management to ensure needed items and identify cost reduction opportunities.
• Check expiration dates on specialty carts/areas not stocked by materials.
• Support precepting of staff to service line.
• Collaborate with surgeons in service line.
• Submit and follow work orders on equipment used in your service line.
• Review surgery schedule in advance to identify potential equipment or supply issues.
