Job summary

Adventist Health White Memorial in Los Angeles is seeking a Surgical Tech to assist the operating room team during procedures. You will prepare the sterile field, pass instruments, and provide supplies and medications to surgeons while maintaining aseptic technique throughout cases.

The role includes handling instrument counts with the RN, setting up sterile fields, and ensuring readiness of supplies. Strong teamwork and adherence to safety standards are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Education/GED or equivalent is required.
• Associate's/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience preferred.
• Scrub technician experience preferred.
• Operating room experience and/or training course preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares for each surgical case by accurately checking required supplies and equipment.
• Assembles appropriate supplies/equipment and maintains sterile field.
• Transports patients according to unit schedules and priorities, and provides clerical duties.
• Completes instrument, sponge, needle and blade counts with the RN.
• Sets up/maintains neat and orderly sterile field and labels solutions.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Education
