Job summary

Keck Medicine of USC Arcadia Hospital seeks a scrub technician to support surgeons, nurses, and operating room staff. Under RN direction, you will prepare ORs, arrange instrumentation, and ensure patient safety and efficient procedures.

You will maintain sterile environments, assist with patient positioning, and participate in staff education and quality initiatives to promote excellent patient care and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Education minimum: High School Diploma or GED.
• Preferred: Previous Surgical Experience.
• Licenses and Certifications: BLS CST from the NBSTA.

Responsibilities

• Sets the sterile environment and maintains the sterile field during the procedure.
• Assists in patient positioning and transport as needed.
• Assists on all types of procedures for patients of all ages with safety as a priority.
• Takes care of specimens, prepares, checks, and monitors medications, and assists with dressings.
• Participates in the orientation and education of staff and acts as a preceptor.
