Job summary

Kaiser Permanente's West Los Angeles Medical Center in California is seeking a Certified Surgical Technician to support the operating room team. Under supervision you will perform scrub duties during surgical procedures and assist physicians and nurses within your scope of competency.

This part-time, onsite role requires two years of OR scrubbing experience or military equivalent, graduation from an approved surgical technologist program, and Basic Life Support.

Qualifications

• Two years within the last three years operating room scrubbing or equivalent military experience.
• Graduate of approved surgical technologist or military equivalent program.
• National Center for Competency Testing Certificate - Technologist in Surgery OR Surgical Technologist Certificate.
• Basic Life Support.
• Full command of the English language (written and verbal).

Responsibilities

• Performs scrub duties during surgical procedures.
• Sets up and organizes room and instruments.
• Assists physician within scope of competency.
• Maintains sterile technique and equipment.
