Job summary

Allegheny Health Network in Pittsburgh is seeking a Surgical Technologist to scrub and assist surgeons across procedures for all ages, under the direction of a registered nurse.

You will perform intraoperative prep, maintain aseptic technique, and support instrument counts and patient safety. Ideal candidates hold a college/technical certificate and 3–5 years of specialty experience; certification within 6 months is preferred.

Qualifications

• Surgical Technologist (ST) certification CST or TS-C within 6 months of hire.
• Education/experience per facility policy and appropriate credentials.
• HIPAA compliance awareness and data protection.

Responsibilities

• Scrub and assist during entra-operative phase with surgeon preference.
• Maintain aseptic technique and follow standard precautions for medications and specimens.
• Assist with preparation of the surgical suite.
• Contribute to division, hospital, and department goals.
• Perform sponge, needle, and instrument counts.
• Perform other duties as assigned or required.
