Job summary

Penn Medicine, the University of Pennsylvania Health System, seeks an experienced OR scheduling professional to lead daily operating room scheduling and collaborate with clinical and clerical teams. This role emphasizes proactive problem solving, staffing decisions, and efficient resource use across the OR suite.

The ideal candidate holds a PA Registered Nurse license with OR scrub and circulation experience and at least one year in a CARE level III or equivalent capacity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Arts or Science is required.
• 1+ years of OR nursing experience in scrub and circulation.
• 1+ years CARE level III or equivalent experience.
• Registered Nurse - PA license required; OR RN certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Exhibits leadership in problem solving, prioritization and clinical excellence.
• Provides leadership and direction to OR personnel in staffing and scheduling.
• Manages resources, proactively assesses staffing to volume needs.
• Daily management of time and resources: case movement, troubleshooting, and staff coordination.
• Establishes and maintains good working relationships with healthcare team.
• Identifies scheduling conflicts and resolves proactively.
• Other duties as assigned to support unit and health system.
