The ideal candidate holds a BSN, a Pennsylvania RN license, CPR certification, and ideally CNOR; two years of OR experience is preferred, with perioperative training provided during orientation.

Qualifications

• BSN is required.
• Two years OR experience is preferred; orientation and specialty education provided during orientation.
• Perioperative credit course required for anyone with no OR experience.
• Basic computer skills and ability to complete data entry on clinical documentation screens.

Responsibilities

• Provides comprehensive, quality nursing care through application of the nursing process.
• Adheres to Nursing Policies and Procedures and Organizational Goals and Objectives.
• Gives age-appropriate care, considering growth and development, nutrition, safety and functional needs.
• Uses resources to review policies, medications and clinical information.
• Performs nursing interventions, evaluates outcomes and moves patient toward goals of care.
• Follows universal protocol for patient and surgical site identification and aseptic technique.
