Qualifications

• Current Florida RN license or compact multi-state license.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Minimum of one year of acute care nursing experience.
• Prior OR RN experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients prior to surgery.
• Provide patient and family education about the procedure and perioperative process.
• Prepare patients, IV therapy, preoperative meds, and surgical site verification.
• Participate in universal protocols and time-out processes.
• Respond to patient emergencies and deliver evidence-based care.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to optimize care and workflow.
• Document patient condition changes and care thoroughly.
• Educate patients and families about condition, treatment, and follow-up.
