Job summary

HCA Florida University Hospital in Florida is hiring an OR Registered Nurse to join our surgical team. You will evaluate patients preoperatively, educate families, manage IV therapy and preoperative medications, and participate in site verification and universal protocols.

The role requires ACLS, BLS, and PALS within 30 days of start date, plus at least 1 year of acute care experience. OR experience is preferred and teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 30 days of start date.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of start date.
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) within 30 days of start date.
• Current RN license and 1 year of acute care experience.
• OR RN experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients prior to surgery.
• Provide patient and family education on perioperative processes.
• Prepare patients including IV therapy and preop meds.
• Perform surgical site verification and universal protocols.
• Respond to emergencies and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.
• Collaborate with a dynamic interdisciplinary team in the OR.
