Qualifications

• ACLS within 30 days of start date.
• BLS within 30 days of start date.
• PALS within 30 days of start date.
• RN license required.
• 1 year OR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients prior to surgery.
• Provide education to patient and family about the procedure and perioperative process.
• Prepare patients including IV therapy and preoperative medications; verify surgical site.
• Participate in surgical site verification and universal protocols.
• Recognize and respond to patient emergencies.
• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care with evidence-based practices.
• Work as part of an interdisciplinary team (provider, surgeons, techs, etc.).
• Apply the nursing process, critical thinking, and clinical judgment to deliver safe care.
• Assess patient condition, monitor and document changes during shift.
• Educate patients and families about condition, treatment, and follow-up measures.
