HCA Florida Blake Hospital in Bradenton, FL is seeking a RN Registered Nurse in the Operating Room to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care. You will be part of a dynamic surgical team, participate in pre/postoperative care, and support patient safety and workflow efficiency.

The role requires Florida RN license or compact licensure with FL active within 60 days, a Nursing Diploma or ASN (BSN preferred), and current AHA BLS certification.

Qualificações

• Must be licensed as a Florida RN or have compact licensure with FL license within 60 days of hire.
• Nursing Diploma or ASN; BSN preferred.
• Previous experience in an acute care setting strongly preferred.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification required.
• Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication skills, ability to read/comprehend written instructions, ability to follow verbal instructions, PC skill.

Responsabilidades

• Evaluate patients prior to surgery.
• Provide patient and family education surrounding the procedure and peri-operative process.
• Prepare patient including IV therapy, preoperative medications, and surgical site verification.
• Participate in surgical site verification, including briefing, time out, debriefing, and universal protocols.
• Recognize and respond to patient emergencies.
• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care while managing evidence-based practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Be an integral member of a dynamic interdisciplinary team.
• Consistently apply the nursing process and leadership to independently deliver safe nursing care to patients.
• Assess patient condition, monitor during shift, and document changes thoroughly.
• Educate patients and families about medical condition, treatment and follow-up measures.
