Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking a skilled Operating Room Registered Nurse to join our St. Francis Downtown team.

You will provide pre-, intra-, and post-operative nursing care, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and ensure a safe, patient-centered surgical environment. The ideal candidate holds a nursing degree, valid RN license, and relevant OR/critical care experience; certifications such as BLS/ACLS/PALS are encouraged, with CNOR preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
• Current state RN licensure required.
• Certifications: BLS; ACLS and/or PALS preferred (must obtain if not held). CNOR and SGNA are preferred but not required.
• Two years of RN experience in Critical Care is preferred; OR internship is preferred.
• Peri-op 101 training is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team.
• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessment.
• Observe the surgery and assist the team to create a safe environment.
• Manage nursing care in the OR and coordinate with other care providers.
• Provide pre-op, intra-op, and post-op care, including discharge instructions.
• Other duties as assigned.
