Job summary

The Operating Room (OR) Registered Nurse (RN) is a licensed professional providing coordinated patient care using the BSWH nursing model. The RN assesses patients, develops an individualized plan, and evaluates responses for safe, efficient transitions through care.

Responsibilities include clinical judgment, evidence-based practice, collaboration with the care team, and adherence to Texas Nursing Practice Act and competency standards. Strong communication is essential.

Qualifications

• EDUCATION - Grad of an Accredited Program or 2 years of work experience above the minimum qualification
• MAJOR - Nursing
• EXPERIENCE - 2 Years of Experience

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and develop care plans using the nursing process.
• Coordinate care to promote safe passage and timely care.
• Delegate interventions based on patient needs and competencies.
• Participate in quality improvement and evidence-based practice.
• Ensure communication with nursing staff and physicians.
