Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking an Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) to coordinate patient care in the OR using the nursing process. The RN assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates individualized care plans to promote safe passage and prevent delays.

The role requires applying clinical judgment, collaborating with the care team, and ensuring high-quality outcomes while adhering to Texas Nursing Practice Act guidelines and institutional policies.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program or equivalent experience.
• Major in Nursing.
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct accurate patient assessments using the nursing process and develop individualized care plans.
• Coordinate patient care with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe and timely delivery of services.
• Delegate interventions based on the Texas Nursing Practice Act, patient condition, and staff competencies.
• Maintain therapeutic relationships and provide patient- and family-centered care.
• Communicate changes in patient status to nurses and physicians and document actions clearly.
