Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health in Texas is seeking an Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) to coordinate patient care using the BSWH nursing model. The RN assesses patients, develops an individualized care plan, and delegates interventions based on the Texas Nursing Practice Act and staff competencies.

The role emphasizes safe patient transitions, prevention of delays, and collaboration with physicians, nurses, and support staff to deliver high-quality care in a dynamic OR setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited Nursing Program or 2+ years of work experience above minimum qualifications.
• Major in Nursing.
• Hold a current Registered Nurse license and BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs using the nursing process.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Coordinate patient care and delegate timely interventions.
• Ensure safe passage for patients with minimal delays.
• Document patient information in EMR per standards.
• Communicate changes in patient status to team.
