Job summary

Grand River Health Main Campus in Rifle, Colorado is seeking a Circulating/Scrub Nurse to join our operating room team. This full-time day position supports the intraoperative phase, monitors patient status, communicates with surgeons and anesthesiologists, and helps prepare and manage instruments and sterile supplies.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited nursing program, Colorado RN license (temporary permits accepted), BLS on hire, ACLS/PALS within 6 months, and prior OR

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of Nursing.
• Licensed in Colorado as a Registered Nurse.
• Temporary permit accepted until reciprocity if needed.
• Current BLS at hire and maintained.
• ACLS and PALS required within 6 months of employment.
• Surgical Technologist Orientation completed on the job.
• One year OR scrubbing/circulating experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitors patient status in the operative environment and provides continuous surveillance.
• Communicates with the surgeon, anesthesiologist, and health care team.
• Assists with maintaining surgical equipment, inventory, and sterilization.
• Assesses operating room readiness, function, and supply availability.
• Arranges supplies and instruments, maintains counts, passes instruments, and prepares specimens.
• Assists Circulating RN to meet the needs of the operating team.
