Job summary

Mary Washington Healthcare in Fredericksburg, VA is seeking a Diagnostic Technologist to prepare patients and perform routine radiographic procedures. You will produce high quality images and collaborate with Radiologists for timely interpretation.

You must be ARRT registered or registry-eligible, hold a VA State license, and BLS certification; three years of relevant experience preferred. The role includes instruction to students and cross-training responsibilities.

Qualifications

• ARRT registration or registry eligibility in Radiologic Technology; pass within one year if eligible.
• Accredited two-year Radiologic Technology program or equivalent.
• VA State Radiologic Technologist License required for outpatient facilities.
• American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers.
• Three years of relevant radiology experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients for radiology examinations by confirming physicians’ orders and patient identities.
• Performs radiology examinations on all ages and maintains competency annually.
• Adheres to departmental policies to ensure quality patient care.
• Maintains a safe environment and supports radiation safety practices.
• Provides supervision and instruction to students; supports cross-training.
• Monitors inventory and ensures continuity of services.
• Documents patient and procedural data for accurate billing.

Two-year Radiologic Technology program or equivalent
