Job summary

Shady Grove Fertility is seeking an OR/PACU RN for a part-time Saturday shift in Fairfax, VA. The role starts at 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM with 1–2 holidays per year, on-site in Fairfax.

You will perform preoperative assessments, develop care plans, provide comfort to patients and families, and administer medications as directed. Active RN license, BLS/ACLS, and PACU experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Active RN license required.
• Current BLS and ACLS certification.
• 2–3 years in Operating/Procedure Room or PACU preferred.
• Strong clinical and technical assessment skills.
• Proficient with computers and charting systems.
• Ability to work independently with good judgment.
• Clear, concise communication with patients and team.

Responsibilities

• Identify patient care problems using advanced assessment skills.
• Develop and explain preoperative and operative care plans.
• Provide comfort and support to patient and family; manage anesthesia-related care.
• Administer medications via IV and other routes as directed.

Opportunity Overview

We have an immediate opening for an OR/PACU RN (Part-Time) to join our team atShady Grove FertilityinFairfax, Virginia.

• Schedule: Every other Saturday, from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM; with 1 to 2 holidays per year

In this role, theOR/PACU RN will:

• Utilize advanced assessment skills to identify patient care problems, formulate patient care plans
• Perform initial preoperative assessment, develops a plan of care, and explains the subsequent phases of surgery
• Provide comfort measures and psychological support to the patient and family membersDemonstrate proficiency in caring for patients who have received various types of anesthesia or conscious sedation
• Administer medications by direct intravenous and other routes as directed

Qualifications and Skills Include

• Active RN license
• Current BLS and ACLS certification
• 2 to 3 years clinical experience in Operating/Procedure Room or PACU experience strongly preferred
• Strong technical and clinical assessment skills
• Ability to access, input, and retrieve information from a computer
• Ability to work independently and demonstrate good judgment
• Ability to communicate accurately and concisely
