Job summary

Shady Grove Fertility in Chesterbrook, Pennsylvania, seeks an OR/PACU RN for per diem coverage. You’ll assess patients pre- and post-operatively, participate in anesthesia care, and support comfort and safety throughout the perioperative period.

Qualifications

• Active RN license required.
• Current BLS and ACLS certification.
• 2–3 years PACU/Operating Room experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify care problems and formulate plans using advanced assessment.
• Perform preoperative assessment and outline care plan for surgery.
• Provide comfort and psychological support to patient and family.
• Care for patients under anesthesia or sedation with safety.
• Administer medications via IV and other routes as directed.

Opportunity Overview

We have an immediate opening for an OR/PACU RN to join our team at Shady Grove Fertility in Chesterbrook, Pennsylvania.

• Schedule: Per diem; Schedule varies, works during the week as well as every fourth weekend

In this role, the OR/PACU RNwill:

• Utilize advanced assessment skills to identify patient care problems, formulate patient care plans
• Perform initial preoperative assessment, develops a plan of care, and explains the subsequent phases of surgery
• Provide comfort measures and psychological support to the patient and family members
• Demonstrate proficiency in caring for patients who have received various types of anesthesia or conscious sedation
• Administer medications by direct intravenous and other routes as directed

Qualifications and Skills Include:

• Active RN license
• Current BLS and ACLS certification
• 2-3 years clinical experience in Operating/Procedure Room or PACU experience strongly preferred
• Strong technical and clinical assessment skills
• Ability to access, input, and retrieve information from a computer
• Ability to work independently and demonstrate good judgment
• Ability to communicate accurately and concisely
