Job summary

Shady Grove Fertility in Rockville, Maryland is seeking an OR/PACU RN for per diem coverage. Compensation ranges from $38 to $46 per hour, commensurate with experience. The role offers opportunities to grow within a nationally respected fertility network.

The successful candidate will join the OR/PACU team, providing perioperative nursing care, preop assessment, and postoperative support in a dynamic clinical setting.

Qualifications

• Active RN license is required.
• BLS and ACLS certification required.
• 2–3 years of Operating/Procedure Room or PACU experience preferred.
• Strong technical/clinical assessment skills.
• Ability to access and input data in a computer system.
• Ability to work independently and exercise good judgment.
• Ability to communicate accurately and concisely.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial preoperative assessment and plan of care.
• Identify patient care problems and formulate care plans.
• Provide comfort measures and psychological support to patients and families.
• Demonstrate proficiency with anesthesia or conscious sedation care.
• Administer medications via IV and other routes as directed.

Opportunity Overview

We have an immediate opening for an OR/PACU RN to join our team at Shady Grove Fertility in Rockville, Maryland.

• Schedule: Per Diem, as needed
• Compensation:$38 to $46 per hour (commensurate with experience)

In this role, the OR/PACU RNwill:

• Utilize advanced assessment skills to identify patient care problems, formulate patient care plans
• Perform initial preoperative assessment, develops a plan of care, and explains the subsequent phases of surgery
• Provide comfort measures and psychological support to the patient and family members
• Demonstrate proficiency in caring for patients who have received various types of anesthesia or conscious sedation
• Administer medications by direct intravenous and other routes as directed

Qualifications and Skills Include:

• Active RN license
• Current BLS and ACLS certification
• 2 to 3 years clinical experience in Operating/Procedure Room or PACU experience strongly preferred
• Strong technical and clinical assessment skills

• Ability to work independently and demonstrate good judgment
• Ability to communicate accurately and concisely
