Job summary

Shady Grove Fertility is seeking an OR/PACU RN in Fairfax, Virginia. This full-time role supports patients through preoperative assessment, anesthesia and recovery care, and post-anesthesia planning. The ideal candidate holds an active RN license with BLS and ACLS, plus 2–3 years PACU/operating room experience.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years clinical experience in Operating/Procedure Room or PACU preferred.
• Strong technical and clinical assessment skills are essential.

• Ability to work independently with sound judgment and concise communication.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial preoperative assessment and develop a plan of care.
• Identify patient care problems and formulate patient care plans.
• Provide comfort and psychological support to patient and family.
• Demonstrate proficiency with anesthesia or conscious sedation care.
• Administer medications by IV and other routes as directed.

Opportunity Overview

We have an immediate opening for anOR/PACU RN to join our team atShady Grove FertilityinFairfax, Virginia.

• Schedule: Monday through Friday, from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM; with 2 holidays per year

In this role, theOR/PACU RN will:

• Utilize advanced assessment skills to identify patient care problems, formulate patient care plans
• Perform initial preoperative assessment, develops a plan of care, and explains the subsequent phases of surgery
• Provide comfort measures and psychological support to the patient and family members
• Demonstrate proficiency in caring for patients who have received various types of anesthesia or conscious sedation
• Administer medications by direct intravenous and other routes as directed

Qualifications and Skills Include

• Active RN license
• Current BLS and ACLS certification
• 2-3 years clinical experience in Operating/Procedure Room or PACU experience strongly preferred

• Ability to work independently and demonstrate good judgment
• Ability to communicate accurately and concisely
