Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing is required.
• Master’s degree in nursing preferred.
• 2+ years in clinical education, CSC, academia or leadership preferred.
• 2+ years in acute care hospital preferred.
• Active RN license in practice state or compact state license required.
• Nationally recognized specialty certification preferred.
• Basic Life Saving (BLS) required.
• Ability to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Develop, coordinate, manage onboarding and orientation programs for nursing staff.
• Provide orientation/onboarding to promote employee retention.
• Collaborate with the Director of Clinical Professional Development to adjust programs.
• Develop and manage competency facilitation and evaluation activities.
• Design educational activities to address practice gaps for licensed and non-licensed staff.
• Plan content delivery to engage learners and improve outcomes.
• Promote Evidence-Based Practice and participate in research, EBP, and QI in patient care.
• Identify strategies for lifelong learning and staff development.
• Utilize a novice-to-expert continuum to guide skill enhancement.
