Job summary

The RN Educator supports clinical education, staff development, and nursing competency across Presbyterian Medical Group Urgent Care clinics. This role partners with nursing leadership, providers, and interdisciplinary teams to prepare staff to deliver safe, evidence-based care.

The RN Educator coordinates onboarding, provides ongoing education, and evaluates clinical competencies. Through hands-on teaching, coaching, and collaboration, this position strengthens nursing practice and supports

Qualifications

• Licensure: State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License.
• Minimum 3 years of clinical care experience.
• Teaching and assessment skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and evaluate orientation and education programs for urgent care nursing staff.
• Coordinate onboarding with clinic leaders and preceptors to support transitions into practice.
• Assess learning needs through staff feedback, clinical observation, and quality outcomes.
• Provide education on patient assessment, triage, emergency response, medication administration, infection prevention, and clinical procedures.
• Facilitate skills demonstrations, simulation, classroom instruction, and individual coaching.
• Develop and maintain educational resources, competency tools, and training records.
• Support staff adoption of new equipment, policies, and workflows.
• Collaborate with providers and leaders to promote consistent clinical practices across locations.
• Use safety findings and quality data to guide education and improvements in care.
• Serve as a resource for nursing staff and preceptors to foster professional development.
