Job summary

HCA Healthcare, Inc. is seeking a Nurse Educator for Womens Services and Pediatrics. The role enhances professional practice by delivering evidence-based educational programs for nursing, inter-professional, and clinical staff at the assigned facility.

The Nurse Educator will lead onboarding, competency development, and ongoing staff education, collaborating with leadership to optimize patient care outcomes and lifelong learning across departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing is required.
• Master's degree in nursing is preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in clinical education, CSC, academia or leadership is preferred.
• RN license in the state of practice or active compact state license is required.
• Nationally recognized specialty certification preferred.
• Basic Life Saving (BLS) required.
• Ability to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Develops, coordinates, conducts and evaluates onboarding and orientation programs for nursing and other healthcare personnel.
• Provides onboarding programs to promote employee retention.
• Collaborates with the Director of Clinical Professional Development to adjust programs based on evaluations.
• Develops and manages competency development and evaluation activities.
• Designs educational activities to address practice gaps for licensed and non-licensed staff.
• Promotes evidence-based practice and participates in research, EBP, and quality improvement.
• Identifies strategies to support lifelong learning and staff mastery.
