Job summary

Mercyhealth is seeking a Nursing Education Specialist to oversee unit education and orientation across the health system. You will coordinate with unit preceptors, mentor new staff, and promote clinical ladder advancement and national certifications.

The role requires a BSN with RN licensure and 2+ years of nursing experience, preferably with MSN and experience in education programs. Travel and collaboration across campuses are involved.

Qualifications

BSN from an accredited BSN Completion Program required.
MSN preferred.
Two or more years RN experience, or one or more years RN experience in area of specialty.

Responsibilities

Oversee and coordinate nursing unit education and orientation programs.
Serve as primary educator for new staff and coordinate with unit preceptors.
Mentor new employees and new graduates through programs like new grad support and preceptor groups.
Develop annual education calendars and update throughout the year.
Facilitate Evidence Based Practice initiatives and disseminate research and best practices.
