Job summary

Mercy is seeking a nurse educator to support orientation, competency programs, in-service and continuing education at the unit level for Mercy coworkers.

Qualified candidates will have a nursing degree, appropriate state license, BLS, and demonstrated clinical knowledge. Strong organizational and multitasking skills are essential to meet project deadlines in a dynamic hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 2 years clinical experience or Associate's with 10 years hospital nursing (5 years if RN to BSN in progress).
• Current license if required; BLS provider.
• Demonstrates clinical knowledge with evidence-based practice and ability to influence patient care.
• Knowledge of equipment/technology used in patient care.

Responsibilities

• Support orientation, competency programs, in-service and continuing education at unit level.
• Contribute to academic partnerships, career development and role transition for Mercy coworkers.
• Utilize MS Office and audiovisual equipment to deliver education.
