Job summary

The Hospital of Central Connecticut's operating room team is seeking a Circulator/Scrub Nurse to deliver individualized patient care in a fast-paced perioperative setting. You will coordinate RN duties in the OR, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the procedure.

The role requires collaboration with physicians and staff, adherence to AORN/ASPAN/SGNA standards, and active participation in patient teaching and quality improvement initiatives to advance perioperative care.

Qualifications

• Valid CT RN License.
• BSN preferred.
• BLS Certification required; ACLS within 6 months if not held.
• 1 year acute care; 2 years surgical experience preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills; teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Functions as Circulator/Scrub Nurse in the Operating Room.
• Organizes and administers individualized patient care within the OR.
• Provides nursing care per hospital policies and standards.
• Participates in patient teaching and quality improvement activities.
• Collaborates with physicians and staff across units.
