Job summary

The Hospital of Central Connecticut in New Britain, CT is seeking an OR Nurse to serve as Circulator/Scrub in the Operating Room. You will organize and provide individualized, professional patient care in alignment with hospital policies and AORN, ASPAN and SGNA standards.

You will participate in patient teaching, adapt to age and cultural needs, contribute to quality improvement activities, and collaborate with physicians and staff to maintain safe, efficient OR workflows.

Qualifications

• Valid CT RN license is required.
• BLS certification is required; ACLS to be obtained within 6 months if not already possessed.
• 1 year of acute care, 2 years of surgical experience preferred.
• Effective communication and collaboration with physicians and staff.

Responsibilities

• The OR Nurse functions as Circulator/Scrub Nurse in the Operating Room.
• Organizes and administers individualized, professional patient care within policies and standards.
• Participates in patient teaching and quality improvement activities.
