The Hospital of Central Connecticut is seeking an OR Nurse to function as Circulator/Scrub Nurse in the Operating Room. You will organize and administer individualized, professional patient care in accordance with hospital standards and per AORN, ASPAN and SGNA guidelines.

Formación

• Valid CT RN License.
• BSN preferred.
• BLS Certification required, ACLS to be obtained within 6 months if candidate does not already possess certification.
• 1 year of acute care, two years surgical experience preferred.
• Must be able to communicate effectively, and work closely with all physicians and staff.
• Strong organizational skills.

Responsabilidades

• The OR Nurse functions as Circulator/Scrub Nurse in the Operating Room.
• Organizes and administers individualized, professional patient care to patients within the Operating Room.
• Provides nursing care in accordance with the objectives, policies, procedures and protocols of the hospital and AORN, ASPAN and SGNA standards.
• Participates in patient teaching; incorporates the needs and behavior of the patient’s specific age/cultural groups in planning and providing care.
• Participates in quality improvement activities.
