Job summary

Las Palmas Medical Center, part of HCA Healthcare, seeks an EMI Coordinator to support OR operations in El Paso, TX. You will prepare supplies, instruments, and equipment for surgeries and assist the circulator nurse and physicians.

The role includes maintaining inventory, training and precepting OR Tech I-III, reporting equipment issues, and ensuring accuracy of the preference cards and billing.

Qualifications

• Basic Life Support certification required.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or TS-C certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with maintaining inventory of supplies for the specialty.
• Set up the room and prepare instruments/equipment prior to procedures.
• Assist the circulator nurse and physician during surgery with supplies/instrumentation.
• Report equipment issues to the Control Desk Manager/OR Director.
• Provide orientation/education to OR Tech I-III as directed.
