Job summary

University Medical Center of El Paso is seeking an Information Systems Coordinator to actively participate in the design and evolution of the EHR. The role provides oversight of all electronic processes and systems related to EHR in HIM and record processing functions, along with creating reports and ensuring data integrity.

The position involves developing policies, procedures, and training materials for physicians, HIM staff, and other users.

Qualifications

• Excellent overall knowledge of Health Information Systems, practices, procedures and guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Participates in the design and evolution of Electronic Health Record (EHR).
• Provides oversight of electronic processes/systems related to EHR in HIM and record processing functions.
• Creates reports, reviews and corrects data integrity issues.
• Creates and updates policies/procedures related to EHR design, management and maintenance.
• Creates material and provides ongoing training for Physicians, HIM, and other users.
