Las Palmas Medical Center, a longtime El Paso hospital, seeks an Equipment, Materials and Instrument (EMI) Coordinator to support the OR team. You will assist surgeons and nurses by preparing supplies, instruments and equipment for procedures, while maintaining proper inventory and adherence to aseptic practices.

You will work under the Control Desk Manager/OR Director to educate OR Tech I–III staff, troubleshoot instrument issues, and help with post‑op handling and return to Sterile Processing.

Formación

• BCLS certification required.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CST or TS-C certification (or equivalent) preferred.
• Ability to precept Surgical Tech I, as directed.

Responsabilidades

• Assist with orientation and education of OR Tech I–III.
• Maintain inventory of supplies for their specialty.
• Report equipment issues and instrumentation concerns to the OR leadership.
• Ensure supplies, equipment and instrumentation are ready for procedures per the physician’s preference card.
