Job summary

Detroit Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Director OR - Operating Room in Detroit, Michigan. The role leads Perioperative Services with responsibility to ensure quality patient outcomes and operational excellence.

Reporting to the Chief Nursing Officer, the director drives policy, budgeting, and performance improvement efforts across the OR. A Master's degree in Nursing with 7+ years of experience is preferred to advance organizational goals and patient care.”

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Nursing or related field (one degree must be in Nursing).
• Seven years of progressively responsible clinical and/or management experience.
• Licensed to practice as an RN in Michigan.

Responsibilities

• Lead Perioperative Services with accountability to the site CNO and Administrative Director.
• Oversee policy development, budget management, and compliance with Joint Commission standards.
• Drive program development, capital planning, and performance improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate recruitment, retention, and performance appraisals within the unit.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to implement organizational goals and patient care strategies.
