Job summary

Hopedale Medical Complex is seeking a Registered Nurse – OR Circulator for a full-time, day-shift role in Hopedale, IL. You will work with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and the surgical team to deliver safe, high-quality perioperative care.

The OR Circulator acts as patient advocate, coordinates care across the surgical phases, and ensures adherence to standards and protocols. Rotating call is included as part of the schedule.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing is required.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Strong critical-thinking and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as patient advocate before, during, and after surgery.
• Assess and monitor patients before, during, and after procedures.
• Obtain and document vital signs and pertinent information.
• Prepare OR, equipment, instruments, supplies, and medications.
• Verify patient identity, procedure, site, consent, and documentation.
• Maintain a safe, sterile OR environment in collaboration with the team.
• Anticipate team needs and provide appropriate assistance.
• Document procedures, medications, specimens, and counts timely.
• Position patients safely, maintaining privacy and dignity.
• Coordinate care and communicate with surgeons, anesthesia, and staff.
