Job summary

UT Medical Center is seeking a Full-Time OR Day Shift RN Circulator to join the Orthopaedic Institute. The role supports complex orthopaedic procedures, collaborates with surgeons, AP providers, and OR staff, and focuses on patient safety and efficient intraoperative care.

The ideal candidate has RN licensure, ASN, and at least two years of RN experience, with BLS/ACLS/PALS. BSN is preferred. Schedule is Monday, Thursday, Friday, 6:30 a.m.–7:00 p.m., with call requirements.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure.
• ASN required.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications or ability to obtain during first week.
• Two years RN experience minimum.
• Strong clinical judgment and patient advocacy.

Responsibilities

• Provide RN Circulator support for orthopaedic procedures.
• Prepare operating room with equipment, supplies, and documentation.
• Coordinate patient care before, during, and after procedures.
• Collaborate with surgeons and anesthesia team for safe care.
• Perform and document surgical counts.
• Coordinate specimen handling and labeling.
• Assist with patient positioning and OR readiness.
• Maintain Cerner EMR documentation and safety standards.
